Funeral services for Eugene Thib Thibodeaux, of Dupont, will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 beginning at 11am at the Escud Funeral Home in Cottonport. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 beginning at 9am until 11am at the Escud Funeral Home in Cottonport. Burial will be at the Bayou Jack Pentecostal Cemetery in Bayou Jack. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Eugene Thib Thibodeaux, age 80, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at his home in Dupont. Thib enjoyed running fox dogs, horse racing, and pecan picking. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orliean, Sr. Vernie Lee Mills Thibodeaux his brothers, Wesley Thibodeaux Murphy Thibodeaux sister, Dorothy Farve and grandchild, Mark Thibodeaux, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Earline Thibodeaux of Dupont daughters: Victoria Fanguy of Plaucheville, Donna Thibodeaux of New Orleans, Tammy Winters of Plaucheville, Sandra Chimento of Alexandria sons, Mark Thibodeaux and Timothy Thibodeaux of Plaucheville sisters, Irene Priester of Denham Springs and Vernie Lee Greer of Crestview, Fl brothers, Louis Thibodeaux of Springfield, Weston Thibodeaux of Walker, and A.J. Thibodeaux of Dupont, Orliean Thibodeaux, Jr. of Denham Springs, Leslie Thibodeaux of Plaucheville. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and fifteen greatgrandchildren.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Joey Marcel, Jacob Strider, Chad Gonzales, Chris Gonzales, Jake Chimento III, and Nathan Strong.
