Eunice Normand

Funeral services for Eunice Normand will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Bordelonville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.
Ms. Normand, age 93, of Bordelonville passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Bayou Chateau Nursing Home in Simmesport. She will be remembered for her kindness, hard work, and being able to make anyone smile that would listen to her stories and jokes.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, son, Royce Normand of Baton Rouge Daughters, Florence Desselle of Moreauville, Elaine Abshire husband Jerry of Lafayette, Carolynn Kirkland husband John of Quitman, MS, and Wanda Courville husband Russell of Eunice 10 grandchildren, and 14 greatgrandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilmore Elezer Bordelon husband, Amos Boone Normand grandson, Corey Desselle.
Visitation for Ms. Eunice Normand will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the St. Peters Catholic Church Hall in Bordelonville from 2pm until 9pm with a Christian Wake service beginning at 6pm. Visitation will also reopen Saturday morning at 8am until the time of Mass services at 11am.
