Eura Joseph Williams, Sr.

Funeral service for Eura Joseph Williams, Sr., resident of Bunkie formerly of Cottonport, will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Old Zion Baptist Church in Cottonport. Burial will follow at the Old Zion Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am until the time of service on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Old Zion Baptist Church in Cottonport. 

Eura Joseph Williams, Sr., age 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Eura worked for Johnson Chevrolet which later became Vaughn Automotive for 51 years. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Latrice Williams; children, Alisha Williams and Eura Williams, Jr.; 3 grandchildren: Naomi Leviege, Salem Watson, Nadia Watson; his father-in-law, Pervis Batiste, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Edna Lee Williams and Charity Batiste Yarber; brothers-in-law, Pervis Batiste, Jr., Matthew Batiste, and Marvin Yarber. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, his work family from Vaughn Automotive, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Williams & Virginia Williams; siblings, Doris Williams, Laura Williams, Phyllis Lee Jacobs, John Henry Williams, Joshua Williams, Egbert Williams, Samuel Peter Williams, and Roger Paul Williams; mother-in-law, Vera Mae Johnson Batiste.
