Funeral Mass for Evangeline LaGrange Landry of Hessmer will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Entombment will be held at St. Alphonsus Mausoleum in Hessmer.

Evangeline L. Landry, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jimmy (Shirley) Landry of Hessmer and Jeston (Kathy) Landry of Hineston, La; her brother, Emery LaGrange, of Bunkie. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Landry of Hessmer and her parents, Etienne & Noel Lagrange.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 10:00pm on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura and rosary prayer will begin at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume at 8:00am on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
