A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Florida LaBorde, passed from this life to her new home on March 13, 2016 at the age of 79. Born in Bordelonville, LA on October 18, 1936 and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a homemaker who loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She loved life and loved sharing it with others.
She is survived by her five children: Wanda Kowal, Scott LaBorde, Blaine LaBorde, Penny Harvey, Michael LaBorde and wife Mika, six grandchildren: Amy Kowal Rickels and husband Damon, Kristopher Harvey, Bo Harvey, Mallory LaBorde, Madelyn LaBorde and Michelle LaBorde, one great-grandchild, Ashton Allinger, one sister: Ida Gremillion, two brothers: Houston Lemoine and wife Estelle, Andrew Lemoine Jr. and wife Loretta and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Buvens Paul LaBorde, parents Andrew & Theresa Lemoine.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Church in Bordelonville, LA on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Visitation will be from 11am until service at 1pm followed by burial at the St. Peter's Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
