Gayle Laborde

Funeral Mass for Gayle Marcotte Laborde, resident of Lafayette originally from Moreauville, will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 beginning at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Scott Chemino officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 beginning at 5pm until 10pm at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville with Rosary wake service being held at 7pm. Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Gayle Marcotte Laborde, age 77, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at her home surrounded by family in Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston & Henrietta Marcotte; siblings, Ira Marcotte, Gene Marcotte, Madelyn Marcotte Rabalais, Shirley Marcotte Danehower, & Thurston Marcotte.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, P.J. Laborde, Jr. resident of Lafayette originally of Bordelonville; children, Jay Laborde of Marksville, Jeanne Laborde Eversberg and her husband, Ronald Eversberg of Lafayette, David Laborde and his wife, Katherine Vollman Laborde of Lafayette, and Anne Laborde Plauche and her husband, Joel Plauche of Lafayette; fourteen grandchildren: Brandi, Vanessa, Tyler, Johnathan, Ashton, David Charles, Austin, Olivia, Thomas, Madeline, Joel, Paul, Ava, & Natalie; three great-grandchildren: Aaron, Addie, & Beau.
