Funeral Mass for Gene Anthony Ducote of Moreauville will take place at Scared Heart Catholic Church of Moreauville on Friday, February 10, 2023 beginning at 2:00 pm with Rev Brian Seiler officiating. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura.

Gene Anthony Ducote, age 84, passed away at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville on Sunday, February 5, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Darren Paul Ducote of Dublin, Ireland; daughters; Antoinette Marie Ducote and Theresa Froman; stepdaughter, Patricia Menard of Lafayette; grandchildren, Kristen Ducote, Jaimee-Lee Ducote, Darren Ducote Jr., Shane Rennie Ducote, Dalton Paul Breaux, Jeremy Ducote, Ashley Ducote, Lance Louis Hall; half-brother, Katrol Ducote; and half-sister, Patricia Ducote.

He was preceded in death by son; William Ducote; parents, Mayo Paul Ducote and Reva Lambert Vead; grandparents; Lillie Jeansonne and Dallas Lambert; lifelong companion of 35yrs, Theresa Valentour; half-brother, Dale Vead; and step-brother, Valley Vead Jr.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am until 1:30 pm in Escude’ Funeral Home of Moreauville
