George Hegger

Funeral Mass for George Hegger, Jr. of Mansura, native of Cottonport, will begin at 11:00am on Friday, October 18th, 2019 at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport with Fr. John Wiltse officiating. Burial will be held the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery of Cottonport.

George Hegger, Jr., age 73, passed away on Wednesday, October 9th, 2019 at his home in Mansura.

George leaves to cherish his memories his friend, Mildred Francisco; children, Rachael Francisco, Barbara Francisco; step-children, Tina Francisco, Patricia Francisco, and Anthony Francisco (Mary); four sisters, Patsy Ruth Davis (Dave), Mary Katherin Turner, Patricia Ann Hegger, and Cynthia Day (Curtis); one brother, Gene “J.C.” Hegger (Monica); six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; one aunt, Mary Barrious; and two uncles, Thomas and Arthur Hegger.

George is preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Winnie Benjamin Hegger; brothers, Leonard, Lloyd, and Richard Hegger; and one sister, Barbara Jean Prater.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:00am on Friday, October 18th, 2019 at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport.
