Funeral services for George Alfred Washington, Jr. of Marksville will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 beginning at 1pm at the Life Point Church in Mansura. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 beginning at 8am until 1pm at the Life Point Church in Mansura. Burial will be held at the Old Zion Cemetery in Cottonport. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
George Alfred Washington, Jr., age 68, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Terrebone General Hospital in Houma. He was preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. & Mary Campbell Washington; sisters: Annie Mae Johnson, Mary Lou Goody, Bertha Washington, and Octavia Jenkins; brothers: Henry Washington, Larry Washington, and James Washington.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Patricia Washington of Marksville; sons, Ricky Granger (Lisa) of Newport News, VA, Lionel Granger (Stacey) Morgan City, LA, Patrick Granger (Marty), Newport, RI, and Rodney Granger of Marksville; brother, Gean Washington of Cottonport, sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
