Funeral services for Geral Dean Jackson of Simmesport will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport at 11:00am. Visitations will also be held at the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church beginning at 9:00am until time of the funeral service. Geral Dean Jackson, age 68, passed away at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital on Thursday, August 6, 2009. She is preceded in death by her; mother, Florence Harris; brother, Joshua Harris. She is survived by her; father, Cleveland Harris of Simmesport; sons, Roy Jackson of Simmesport, Bryant W. Jackson of Kansas City, MO, Byron Jackson of Groves, TX, Jonas Jackson of Marksville; daughters, Belinda Nelson of Simmesport, Lorraine Huddleston of Simmesport, Lazonia Jackson of Simmesport; brothers, Joseph Harris of Simmesport, Wilbert Harris of Denver, CO, Titus Harris of Denver, CO, Cleveland L. Harris of Simmesport, Corrlynn Harris of Simmesport, Robert Harris of Houston, TX, Ronald Harris of New Orleans; sister Carolyn Harris of Port Arthur, TX. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren. Arrangements and funeral services are under the directions of Escude Funeral Home.
