Funeral Mass for Gerald “Bud” Jeansonne of Cottonport will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Hessmer with Fr. Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Burial will be held St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery.

Gerald Jeansonne, age 82, passed away on Sunday, September 29th, 2019 at his home in Cottonport.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jessica Jeansonne (Amos Odom), Jacklynn Wiley (Tim), Dale Jeansonne, Kenneth Jeansonne (Cathy), Michael Jeansonne (Tina), Lionel Jeansonne (Kristie), Gary Jeansonne, Patrick Jeansonne (Miraforbaul); daughter-in-law, Vicky Jeansonne. He is also survived by his thirty-four grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Jeansonne; sons, Ricky Jeansonne and Gregory Jeansonne; parents, Peter and Armance Gauthier Jeansonne; brother, Kenneth Jeansonne; sister, Bobbie Jane Watley; grandsons, Gregory Jeansonne, Justin Jeansonne, and Bryan Odom; great-grandson, Lane Anthony Doyle; son-in-law, Michael Turner.

Visitation will begin at 6:00pm and will last all night on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.
