Funeral services for Gertie Mae Johnson of Mansura will take place at the Little Zion Baptist Church of Longbridge on Saturday, April 30, 2011, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will also be held at the church, prior to the services, beginning at 9:00am. Burial services will commence at the Little Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gertie Johnson, age 75, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Johnson sons, Gregory Augustine, Kenneth Ray Augustine, Caesar Augustine daughters, Ruth McClure, Marilyn Augustine sister, Gertrude West. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Brown of San Antonio son, Morris Augustine of Hessmer brother, Earl West of Marksville fourteen grandchildren, eighteen greatgrandchildren and also a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
