Funeral services for Gilda Gail Hollis Roy of Mansura will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 beginning at 11am at Our Lady of Prompt Succor with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Visitation will take place at the Escude Funeral Home in Mansura on Saturday, May 30, 2015 beginning at 9am until 10:40am. Burial will be held at the St Paul Catholic Masoleum. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Gilda Gail Hollis Roy was born on March 14, 1956 in Pineville, LA to Marjorie Hollis and the late Raymond Tolton Hollis, Sr. from Mansura. Gilda Gail Hollis Roy departed this life on May 26, 2015 at 3:45 p.m.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother; Marjorie Hollis of Mansura, two daughters; Tameca and husband Ron Alexander of Marksville, Chante' and Husband Rodney Francisco of Mansura, two sons; Derrick and wife Kim Roy, Travelle Roy both of Mansura, five sisters; Mary Nell Hollis Foster of Omaho, NE, Mary and Husband Don Peyton of Ocala, FL, Ida Hollis of Colton, CA, Roberta and Husband Harold Wilson of Aneheim, CA, Martha Ebberson of Omaho, NE, three Brothers; Raymond and wife Cal Hollis of Mansura, LA, Joseph and wife Tarsha Hollis of Slidell, LA, Michael K Hollis of Fort Benning, GA, eleven grandchildren; Keion, Damiel, Ladarious, A'Kiayaha, Derrick Jr., Javon, Kelsi, Keelan, Zakais, Charnaye, A'Maya, and two great grandchildren; Keion Jr., Keiona; nieces, nephews and a host of family, friends and those that loved her dearly.

Gilda Gail Hollis Roy was an extraordinary mother, grandmother, and friend. She was employed at the Avoyelles Correctional Center for twenty-two years until she retired in June 2014.
