Gloria Buras

Funeral services for Gloria Zimmer Buras will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Mansura. Visitations will also take place at the church on Wednesday prior to the funeral service, beginning at 12:00pm. Burial services will commence at the St. Paul Cemetery.
Gloria Zimmer Buras passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the age of 85. She was born on July 28, 1926 and was a resident of Mansura. She lived in New Orleans from 19441960, but later returned home to Mansura to care for her ailing parents. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Wyndham and Hazel Zimmer,Sr., her husband Herman Buras, a brother, Wyndham J. Zimmer, Jr. and her dear sister, Mary Rose Zimmer, two nieces Carol Z. Terrio and Barbara Z. Battaglia. She is survived by a niece, Adrienne Z. Dussel of Slidell, LA. Gloria Buras was also a resident at the Hessmer Nursing Home. The family would like to thank the Hessmer Nursing Home staff and the staff at Avoyelles Hospital.
