Gloria Agnes Lachney

Funeral Mass for Gloria Agnes Lachney of Mansura will begin at 11:00am on Monday, September 16, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum in Mansura. 

Gloria Agnes Lachney, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Lafayette. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Roger Lachney (Marguerite) of Hessmer; and daughter, Melanie Maddox (James Walter) of Mansura; 6 grandchildren: Nadine Maddox (Austin), Wesley Maddox (Ashley), Cody Lachney, Brock Lachney, Jenna Lachney (Josh), and Cathy Bordelon Thronson (David); 5 great-grandchildren: Lacey Gremillion (Ryan), Nathan Bordelon (Bethany), Jaiden Dauzat, Claire Firmin, and Cade Firmin; and 5 great-great-grandchildren: Amelia Gremillion, Madelyn Gremillion, Stravis Bordelon, Colin Bordelon, and Weston Bernard. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Lachney; husband, Stravis Lachney; parents, Adolph Descant & Agnes Rachal Descant; grandchild, Donel Lachney.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Visitation will resume at 8:00am until the time of service on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
