Harris Gremillion Sr.

Services for Harris Anthony Gremillion, Sr. will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moreauville on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 1 p.m. with Rick Gremillion officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Moreauville under the direction of Escude Funeral Home, Moreauville. Mr. Gremillion, age 73, of Chalmette, died Sunday, February 5, 2006 in Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home, Dupont. He was a native of Plaucheville and a resident of Chalmette. Survivors include his wife, Angelina Barbara Couvillion Gremillion of Chalmette; daughters, Elizabeth Gremillion Debate of Chalmette and Carol Gremillion Silva of St. Bernard; sons, Harris Gremillion, Jr. of Picayune, Mississippi, and Bennie Gremillion of Monroe; brothers, Russell Gremillion of Plaucheville, Odell Gremillion of Marksville and Oliver Gremillion of Donaldsonville; stepbrothers, Hubert Soldani and Leonard Soldani of Moreauville; stepsisters, Lois Mae Lemoine and Frances Seekly of Moreauville and Bernadine Bordelon of Marksville; thirteen grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Gremillion; mother, Nora Scallan Gremillion; and stepfather, Will Henry Soldani. Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home, Moreauville on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
