Graveside services for Hazel Sampson Holmes of Mansura will begin at 11:00am on Friday, August 14, 2020 at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura with Rev. Vernon Simon officiating.

Hazel Sampson Holmes, age 98, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Avoyelles Hospital.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children: Caroline Holmes, Priscilla Holmes, and Piltrice Holmes, Jr. all of Chicago; grandchildren: Dwayne Holmes, Sr., Qiana Holmes, George Heard, Paul Heard, Michael Keith Holmes, Jr., Tracy Holmes, Kent Harper, Marcella Holmes, Lynetta Holmes, and Kenyell Dixon. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by two children: Charles Holmes and Margaret Heard; husband, Piltrice Holmes, Sr.; her parents, Felton & Carrie Sampson.

Visitation will begin at 9:30am until the time of graveside on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
