Herman Lockwood

Funeral Service for Herman Lockwood will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport. Burial will follow at Little Zion Baptist Church in Longbridge.

Herman Lockwood was born October 21, 1938, to the late Kirby Lockwood Sr. and Bonita Pierre Lockwood in Bunkie, La. His departure was decided by God on March 23, 2023. He was married to Annie W.D. Lockwood on May 13, 2000. He was baptized at an early age until his illness as he served many years in church faithfully. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to two children, one son Kenneth Lockwood (Janet) from Houston, Tx, one daughter JaShawna from Lafayette, La., four step-children two step-daughters Mary D. Francois (Timmy) from Baker, La, Shamika D. Mark (Clarence) from Alexandria, La two stepsons Kenzell Weston from Mansura, La and Denzell Weston (Brittany) from Alexandria, La. And a host of loving grandchildren (15), great-grandchildren (9), his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his late wife Ida Mae W. Lockwood and one son Herman Lockwood Jr., one brother Kirby Lockwood Jr. and one grandson Da’Riek Lockwood.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Simmesport.
