Hester Bordelon

Funeral services for Hester Smith Bordelon of Bordelonville will take place at the St. Peter Catholic Church on Sunday August 24, 2014 beginning at 12:30pm. Visitation will be held at the St. Peter Church Hall on Saturday August 23, 2014 from 4pm until time of service. Burial will be held at the St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Hester Smith Bordelon, age 95, passed away at Bayou Chateau Nursing Home in Simmesport on Friday, August 22, 2014. Mom loved her family, flowers, and picking pecans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Caffry Doe Bordelon, her granddaughter, Kristen Bordelon, and her son in law Ray Reech, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, her mother, Ella Jeansonne Smith James Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Clyde of Seattle, Washington, Brian Connie of Bordelonville, Ellis Sherry of Harahan daughters: Carol Buvins Bordelon, of Metairie, Alberta Landry Laborde of Metairie, Violet Reech of Big Bend, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and greatgreat grandchildren.
