Funeral Mass for Iris Gaspard Ducote of Mansura will take place at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Mansura on Friday, July 12, 2024 beginning at 11:00 am with Rev. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Cemetery.

 Iris Ducote, age 80, passed away at Valley View Nursing Home in Marksville on Tuesday, July 10, 2024. Iris was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and was an excellent cook. She loved to travel with the seniors with the Council on Aging. She loved the Senior Olympics and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years Maxie Ducote of Mansura; children, Lisa Barbry (Daniel) of Mansura, and Ryan Ducote of Mansura; brother, James Gaspard of Blue Town; grandchildren, Kain Sayer (Blair), Beau Barbry (Grace), Keith Barbry (Tess), and Wendy Lemoine (Shane); great-grandchildren, Angelle Sayer, Max Sayer, Adylyn Sayer, Braeden Slone, Eli Barbry, Coty Barbry, Carson Lemoine, and Jordan Lemoine; and a great-great-grandchild, Hazel

She was preceded in death by her son, Marty Paul Ducote; grandson, Clay Sayer; parents, Felix and Rita (Caubarreaux) Gaspard.

Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until 10:40 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Escude’ Funeral Home of Mansura.
