Irma Ducote

Funeral service for Irma "Sweet" Ducote of Simmesport will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016 beginning at 9:30am at Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport with Fr. Dwight DeJesus officiating. A rosary will be recited beginning at 9am in the church prior to service. Entombment will follow in the Christ the King Mausoleum in Simmesport. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Irma "Sweet" Ducote, age 82, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Sweet served as deputy assessor for the Avoyelles Parish Assessor Office.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fontnell & Almedia Ducote; and brother, Clyde Ducote.
She is survived by cousins, Brenda Hughes and Glenda Halford; and numerous cousins; lifelong friend, Joyce Champion.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be: Heath Pastor, Emeric Dupuy, Carl Hughes, William Hughes, David Desoto, & Clint Lemoine.
