Funeral services for Ivy Cecile Ducote of Simmesport will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church of Simmesport at 1:00pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Visitations will take place at the Escud Funeral Home of Simmesport beginning at 8:00am until time of funeral on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Ivy Ducote, age 90, passed away at Bayou Chateau Nursing Home on Sunday, August 2, 2009. She is preceded in death by her; husband, Elsma Ducote; parents, Resaire Leonie Laborde. She is survived by her; sons, Cilton Ducote of Melville, Jessie Ducote of Baton Rouge, E.J. Ducote of Simmesport, Terry Ducote of Baton Rouge. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services and arrangements are under the directions of Escud Funeral Home.
