Ivy Ducote

Funeral services for Ivy Ducote will take place at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Belledeau on Thursday, July 5, 2012 beginning at 10 am with Fr. Silverino Kwebuza officiating. Burial will commence at the St. Alphonsus Church Mausoleum in Hessmer.
Mr. Ducote, age 86, of Hessmer passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Hessmer Nursing Home. He was a retired farmer, and worked for the Avoyelles Parish Police Jury for 21 years. Ivy was a friend to every person he met, and his loving smile will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Earline Bordelon Ducote of Hessmer, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Ducote, Sr. mother, Emiley Ducote brothers, Arthur Ducote, Jr., Douglas Ducote, George Ducote, Willie Ducote, Felix Ducote, Allen Ducote, Kirdy Ducote, Elmore Ducote, and Leon Ducote sisters, Sarah Dauzat, Jean Spikes, Effie Desoto, and Josephine Daigrepont.
Visitation for Mr. Ducote will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 5 pm until 10 pm, with rosary wake services to be held at
7 pm. Services and arrangement are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.
