Jacqueline C. Fontenot

Jacqueline C. Fontenot of Mansura, age 85, passed away at Valley View Nursing Home in Mansura on Monday, September 29, 2024. 

Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am on Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura, LA (1879 L'Eglise St.). Internment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura, LA (Little Cemetery Rd.).

Visitation beginning at 8:00am to 10:45am, with rosary at 10am, on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura, LA (6608 Porterie St.).

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kim Sampson (Michael) of Mansura and Prince Fontenot of Mansura; sisters, Denise Birch and Michelle Bradly both of Alabama; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, family, and bonus grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Fontenot; parents, Alcide & Louise Demouy Cadoree; brothers, James Cadoree Sr., Gerald Cadoree, and Fabin Cadoree; sister, Eula Mae Cadoree. 

Special thanks to Valley View Nursing Home and All Saints Hospice for the compassionate care of Jacqueline. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all family and friends who supported us during this difficult time. Your kind words, prayers, and acts of kindness have provided us with comfort and strength. Thank you for celebrating Jacqueline's life and for the love you've shown our family.
