Funeral services for James Kenneth Barker will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will also be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral, starting at 9:00am. Officiating clergy will be Rev. Van Keith Jones. James Kenneth Barker, age 50, of Marksville passed away at the Valley View Nursing Home on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. He is preceded in death by his; mother, Rose Baker; wife, Joyce Scott Barker; sister, Betty Holland; brothers, John Holland, Wilbert Barker, T-Paul Sampson. He is survived by his; children, Lois Jenkins of Moreauville, Joyce Jackson of Marksville, Kenneth Jermain Ivory of Mansura; step-sister, Lillie Bell Harris of Alexandria; step-brother, Nelson Batiste of Alexandria. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren. Arrangements and funeral services are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
