James Smith

Funeral services for James M. Smith, Sr., age 86, will be held on June 4, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am. Christ the King Catholic Church in Simmesport with Fr. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating.

Mr, Smith passed away on May 31, 2022 at his residence in Simmesport.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Florence (Firmin) Smith; sisters, Doris Voiselle, Bessie Firmin, and Mary Voiselle; and a brother, Huey Smith.

Those left to cherish his memory are his companion, Patricia Alexander; children, Lisa Austin, James M. Smith, Jr., Kelly Smith, Kimberly Smith, Myron Smith, Haley Alexander, Holly Porterie, Marcus Alexander, and Heidi Alexander; and dear friend, Lucille Joseph. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Escude’ Funeral Home of Simmesport beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
