James Tuller

Funeral services for James Harley Tuller age 77, a resident of Plaucheville, La will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 8. 2014 at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport, LA with Reverend Dennis Hackler officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will be held in the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Plaucheville. Arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport.

Mr. Tuller, age 77, passed away at home on October 31, 2014 at 10:10 p.m. after a lengthy illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Gertrude Tuller, his sister Helen Boehme, brothers Robert and Gene Boehme, and infant son, Michael.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 32 years, Nedra Stark Tuller, daughters Debbie Tuller and Teri Tuller, sons Richard Cassell Shawna, James Tuller Rhonda, and Alex Tuller Rebecca, and special niece, Denise Boehme Roberts Gary. He also leaves six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Tuller lived and worked in the New Orleans area for over 40 years before moving to Plaucheville, his wifes hometown. He retired from Charity Hospital at New Orleans with over 30 years of service. He was also a dedicated lifetime member of the Louisiana State Firemans Association, while serving the Nine Mile Point Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years as both President and Safety Officer.
