Funeral services for Janie Mae Carter of Morrow will take place at the Escud Funeral Home of Cottonport on Monday, March 12, 2012, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Cottonport on Sunday, March 11, 2012, from 5:00pm and will last until time of services on Monday. Burial services will commence at the Bayou Jack Cemetery.
Janie Carter, age 64, passed away at her home on Friday, March 9, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willis Carter parents, Lester Irene Dalgo Lachney brothers, Larry Lachney, Clyde Lachney. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Dixon husband Merlin of Plaucheville, Kerri Lehman husband Michael of Dallas grandchildren, Carl Dixon of Belledeau, Wesley Elliot of Plaucheville, Ariel Lehman of Dallas sister, Dianna McMann of Tioga three stepdaughters, three stepsons, nineteen stepgrandchildren, twentyfour stepgreatgrandchildren.
