Funeral services for Jeffrey Paul Bobby Vead of Lafayette will take place at the Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Church of Big Bend on Saturday, March 16, 2013, beginning at 2pm with Bro. Larry Langley officiating. A visitation will take place at the Fountain Memorial Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, March 14, 2013, beginning at 6pm and will last until the next day. A second day of visitation will take place on Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Escud Funeral Home of Moreauville, starting at 6pm and will last until next day. Burial services will commence at the Bayou Des Glaises Baptist Cemetery.
Bobby Vead, age 68, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Mr. Vead was a veteran of the United States Army and served all over the world including 2 tours in Vietnam during his 10 year career. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion. Mr. Vead was preceded in death by his parents, Simon, Sr. Eudolie G. Vead brothers, Lloyd Joseph Vead, Emile Vead, Douglas Vead sisters, Brenda Vead Carison Linda Vead Ortego. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Barbara V. Vead of Lafayette children, Denver Vead Desiree of Broussard, Jeremiah Vead Jamie of Rayne, Kaylum Vead Josey Vead Stevie, both of Lafayette, Denise Vead Trahan David of New Iberia, Simonette Vead Trevor of Lafayette, Tracey Vead Hester of Aurora, CO, Jan Vead of Jackson, MS brothers, Simon Vead, Jr. of Lettsworth Paul Vide of Moreauville. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren. Honored to serve as Pallbearers will be Denver Vead, Jeremiah Vead, Kaylum Vead, Josie Vead, Joey Vead and Trevor Trahan and Honorary Pallbearers include David Trahan and Jacob Vead.
