Memorial services for Jocelyn Escude Lunn of Mansura will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 beginning at 1pm at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. A rosary prayer service will be held at St. Paul beginning at 12:30pm before the service. Interment will be at the St. Paul the Apostle Mausoleum in Mansura.
Jocelyn Escude Lunn, age 96, passed away in Shreveport on Saturday, May 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Paul Lunn; son, Gregory R. Lunn; brother, Joseph L. Escude, Jr.; and parents, Joseph L. Escude, Sr. & Blanche Tassin Escude.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tanya L. King of Shreveport and Kiara L. Robertson of Green Valley, AZ; sons, Barry Wayne Lunn of Hobe Sound, FL and Frank "Chip" P. Lunn of Chatham, NH; and sister, Barbara E. Lemoine of Mansura. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Jocelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all. Her deep faith was evident in her walks to St. Paul for her daily mass attendance and her service to all. She was a cornerstone in Mansura; she was known for riding her bike to the tennis courts or walking with her big dogs in town. She never met a stranger, one of her favorite things to do was to sit on her front porch and talk to all who passed by. Jocelyn was a very kind hearted person and will be missed for bringing smiles to our faces.
