John Bowman, Sr.

Funeral services for John Bowman, Sr of Simmesport will take place at the Heart of Worship Church of Lettsworth on Friday, April 15, 2016 beginning at 12:00pm with Pastor Glenn Mayeux and Pastor Danny Wright officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport that morning from 9:00am until noon. Burial will commence at the Heart of Worship Cemetery.

John Bowman, age 69, passed away at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Bowman; and parents, Anderson & Lola Mae Bowman. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cathy Bowman of Simmesport; children, John Bowman, Jr. (Melisa) of Plaucheville, Chasity Thronson (David) of Moreauville; grandchildren, Bradley Bowman, Aireal Bowman, Dustin Bowman (Brittany), Alex Bowman (Jaci), Miranda Thronson (Derek), Jada Bowman, & Triston Bowman; great-grandchildren, Brayden Bowman, Alaya Bowman, Karter Thibodeaux, & Crimson Bowman. He is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, cousin, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Service and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
