John Wilkes

Funeral services for John Overton Wilkes of Simmesport will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Moreauville on Thursday, January 26, 2012, beginning at 10:00am. Visitations will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Moreauville on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and will resume Thursday morning at 8:00am. Burial services will commence at the St. Catherine Cemetery.
John Wilkes, age 82, passed away at the Bayou Chateau Nursing Home of Simmesport on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maggie Wilkes son, Lonnie Wilkes parents, Enix Mary Adlise Wilkes brothers, Phil Wilkes, Pete Wilkes, Ludger Wilkes, Huey Wilkes, Balon Wilkes. He is survived by his daughter, Mark Wilkes of Hamburg and three grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren, one stepgrandchild.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
