Funeral services for Johnnie Reed, Jr. of Marksville will take place at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church of Marksville on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will also be held at the church, prior to the funeral service, from 9:00am to 11:00am. Burial services will commence at the Holy Ghost Catholic Cemetery.
Johnnie Reed, Jr., age 84, passed away at the Veterans Hospital of Pineville on Sunday, March 4, 2012. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Grace Reed son, Richard J. Reed, Sr. parents, Johnnie Reed, Sr. Bessie Thomas Reed. He is survived by his daughters, Maxine Franklin of Marksville, Mary Ford of Marksville son, Johnnie Reed, III of Hessmer brother, Sylvester Jones, Sr. of Alexandria sister, Marie Iona Reed of California. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren twentythree greatgrandchildren.
