Funeral services for Johnnie Mae Williams of Cottonport will take place at the St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Saturday, February 14, 2015 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Jose Robles-Sanchez officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport that morning from 8:00am to 11:00am. Burial services will commence at the St. Anthony Cemetery of Cottonport.
On February 9, 2015 God called a loving angel home. Johnnie Mae Williams was born May 10, 1946 to Sam and Isadee Slaughter in Cottonport, LA. Johnnie was united in matrimony with Eli Williams, Jr. on September 7, 1963. Johnnie Mae Williams was preceded in death by her loving parents Mr. & Mrs. Sam Slaughter and her sister, Geraldine Augustine.
Johnnie leaves to cherish her lovely memory: her husband, Eli Williams, Jr.; four children: Eugenia Wells of Cottonport, Sheila Williams of Cottonport, Tamara Williams of Mansura, and Chad Williams, Sr. of DeRidder; three sisters: Mary Lee Johnson of Cottonport, Annie Mae Philips of Evergreen, and Doris Palmer of Chicago, IL; one brother, Sam Slaughter of Cottonport; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, three sister-in-laws, and six brother-in-laws, and a large host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
