Joseph Desoto

A visitation will be held for Joseph Luther Desoto, age 70, will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 beginning at 10am until 2pm the Escud Funeral Home in Mansura.
Joseph Luther Desoto was born on March 28, 1943 and died January 9, 2014 at the Hessmer Nursing Home. He was a former resident of Moreauville and was retired from the International Paper Mill.
He was preceded in death by his parents Telisma Clementine Williber Desoto three brothers, R.D. Desoto, Wellman Desoto, and Rudy Desoto three sisters Dorthy Desoto Ducote, Nettie Mae Kitty Desoto Gremillion, and Gertrude Desoto Michot.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two sisters, Rosella Desoto Hebert and Patsy Desoto Catania and numerous nieces nephews.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of Hessmer Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made towards the services.
