Joseph Edwards, Sr.

Funeral services for Joseph Clifton Edwards, Sr. of Mansura will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Hessmer, beginning at 11:00am. Visitations will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, May 14, 2010, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, and will resume Saturday morning at 8:00am. Burial services will commence at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Joseph Edwards, Sr., age 75, passed away at the Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital of Alexandria on Monday, May 10, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Houston Edwards Regina Lartaige son, Joseph Edwards, Jr. brothers, Amos Edwards, Jessie Edwards, William Edwards, Paul Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Mary Viola Edwards of Mansura daughter, Gwyn Sampson of Marksville sons, Jules Lemon Edwards, Sr. of Mansura, Joseph Ronald Edwards of Baton Rouge, Jason John Edwards of Pensacola, FL. He is also survived by his twentyone grandchildren seven greatgrandchildren.
