Joseph Jeansonne

Joseph Hansel Jeansonne, 83, retired US Army, Veteran of WWII and 50 yr. resident of New Orleans, who was born June 15, 1925, in Cottonport, LA. He died peacefully Friday, December 19, 2008. He was preceded in death by his loving Wife of 58 years, Sylvia Risch Jeansonne, his daughter Nancy Jeansonne Stevens, his son Lawrence Arnold Sheppard and great-grandson Jason Gaspard. He is survived by his son, Tommy and wife Glenda Jeansonne, 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was in the trucking industry for over 50 years and was past president and lifetime member of the Louisiana Motor Transport Association and lifetime member of the Mississippi Trucking Association. Visitation will be Monday, December 23, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport, LA from 9 a.m. till 11 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Marys Catholic Church in Cottonport.
