Joseph Whitmore

Funeral services for Joseph Whitmore of Simmesport will take place at the Christ the King Catholic Church of Simmesport on Monday, November 24, 2014 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Dwight de Jesus officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Simmesport on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and will resume Monday morning at 8:00am. Burial will commence at the Christ the King Cemetery.
Joseph Whitmore, age 73, passed away at the Grace Home hospice care center in Alexandria on Friday, November 21, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Mildred Whitmore his 1st wife, Juanita Whitmore sister, Sadie Whitmore brother, Murphy Whitmore. He is survived by his children, Michelle Whitmore of Simmesport, James Whitmore of Plaucheville, Joel Whitmore of Simmesport, Eric Whitmore of Baton Rouge, Mark Whitmore of Glenn, LA wife, Joan Whitmore of Simmesport stepsons, Steven Lemoine of Moreauville Scott Lemoine of Simmesport sisters, Clara Burk of Dallas Elda Lane Coco of Huffman, TX brothers, AJ Whitmore of Winnfield, Wilmore Whitmore of New Orleans, Cecil Whitmore of Simmesport. He is also survived by his five grandchildren.
Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
