Funeral services for Juanita Marie Sarpy of Fort Bend, Texas will take place at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura on Saturday, August 11, 2018 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating the mass. Visitation will take place at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura Saturday morning from 10:00am to 11:00am. Burial will commence at St. Paul Catholic Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Juanita Marie Sarpy, Age 64, passed peacefully at Saint Luke Hospital in Houston, Texas on August 1, 2018. Juanita was born to Preston and Theresa James on September 5, 1953. She attended and graduated from Mansura High School. She went on to attend Louisiana State University in Alexandria. She moved to Houston, Texas where he resided for the duration of his life. Prior to moving to Texas she married her high school sweetheart Francis Sarpy. They had one son whom she loved dearly Niles Sarpy and her daughter in law Cyndi. Juanita loved her granddaughters, Payton, Danika and Alexa. Juanita enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She had a hand in raising all of them, they all loved her and will miss her. She was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa & Preston James; sister, Charlene Wells; brother, Larry James.
Those left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Sherry Ann & Lena James; brothers; Ronald, Paul, John, Floyd and Clyde James; many nieces and nephews, Cedric, Chelsey, Gabrielle, Floyd Jr., Brandon, Julian, Travis, Michelle, Melannie, Jerilyn, Niles, Devan, Xavier, Gabriel and Jonathan; many great nieces & nephews; three, aunts Earlene, Martha and Mildred. She is missed by all!
