Funeral services for Jude Royce Normand of Baton Rouge will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 beginning at 11am at the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Bordelonville. Visitation will take place at the St. Peter's Church Hall in Bordelonville on Thursday, July 30, 2015 beginning at 4pm until 9pm. Burial will be held at the St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Jude Royce Normand, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at The Care Center in Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos J & Eunice Bordelon Normand and sister, Elaine Abshire.
Left to cherish his memory are, daughters, Sharon Normand of New Orleans, Judie Palmisano of Mandeville, Angie Normand of Baton Rouge; sisters, Florence Baudin of Moreauville, Carolynn Kirkland of Quitman, MS, Wanda Courville of Eunice; son-in-law, Dr. Vernon Palmisano of Mandeville; five grandchildren, Royce Reed, Sean Reed, Logan Palmisano, Jacob Palmisano, Kaleigh Palmisano and great-grand child, Anya Reed. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Royce leaves this world with several accomplishments that he held dearly such as being a member of the Mensa International, graduate of LSU, many sales awards and a lifetime of memories, jokes and stories. Royce was known for helping others, loyalty, independence, confidence, education, and a good sense of humor, just to name a few. He valued family and friends more than money and he knew the value of a hard day's work. He was lovingly known as "Pop" to his grandchildren and will be missed and remembered with love and fondness and will forever be the vibrant thread of love in our life's tapestry.
