Judy Ann Ducote

Funeral Mass for Judy Ann Wilson Ducote of Belledeau will begin at 12:00pm on Friday, November 15th, 2024 at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Belledeau with Rev. Kenneth Obiekwe officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Martin of Tours Cemetery.  

Judy Ann Wilson Ducote, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at her home in Belledeau. 

Throughout her years, Judy found immense joy in dancing, often winning contests with her husband and lighting up the dance floor with the jitterbug. She worked tirelessly to support her family, managing a crawfish pond and laboring at the local canning plant to ensure those she loved were cared for. Beyond her dedication to work, Judy's true passion was her family. She was a devoted grandmother, and a cherished great-grandmother. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time camping and fishing with her loved ones or relishing in the tradition of a crawfish boil or fish fry. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sharon LaCombe (Brent) of Hessmer and Rebecca Mayeaux (Steve) of Hessmer; grandchildren: Kayla Bollingham (Kevin) of Hessmer, Brandon LaCombe (Julie) of Hessmer, and Elizabeth Bordelon (Jonah) of Mansura; great-grandchildren: Kevin Bollingham, II (Ashlyn), Brent Bollingham, Kaylee Bollingham, Brennon LaCombe, Blane LaCombe, CJ Day, Taylor Day, and Jonah Cooper Bordelon; sisters, Shirley Fields of Boyce; and Connie Herrin of Baton Rouge. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland John Ducote; mother, Lolita Firmin Wilson Gauthier; father, Curry Wilson; stepfather, Jessie Gauthier; sisters, Merline Thurnquist, Barbara Lacour, Provella “Pam” Channey.  

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are: Brandon LaCombe, Brennon LaCombe, Blane LaCombe, Kevin Bollingham, II, Jonah Bordelon, and Rodney Lake.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15th, 2024 from 8:00am until time of services at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.
