Funeral services for Julia Normand of Mansura will take place on Monday, May 3, 2010 at the St. Paul Catholic Church of Mansura, beginning at 10:00am. Visitations will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Sunday, May 2, 2010, from 3:00pm to 10:00pm, and will resume Monday morning at 8:00am. A rosary will be recited Sunday evening at 7:30pm and burial services will commence at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
Julia Normand, age 82, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 1, 2010. She is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Normand parents, Sefort Amethye Matt Sr. daughter, Janice Normand sister, Vircinia Thibodeaux. She is survived by her daughters, Marian Ponthier of Mansura, Melissa Normand of Mansura, Cynthia Gaspard of Mansura sons, Marcus Cox of Baton Rouge, John Normand of Simmesport brothers, Dewy Matt of Lafayette, Sefort Matt, Jr. of Angleton, TX sisters, Katherine Drisdale of Van Vleck, TX, Erin Courville of El Centro, CA. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren eight greatgrandchildren.
