Katherine Rabalais

Katherine Rabalais passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at 6:30 A.M. She was 73, a resident of Lafayette and a native of Dupont. She graduated from Dupont High School and attended LSU-Alexandria. She was a retired cosmetologist of 20 years, and a licensed real estate agent. Visitations will take place at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Saturday, October 24, from 7:00a.m. until 1:00p.m., with a rosary at 12:30 p.m. The funeral mass will take place at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, where Rev. Charles Morgan will be presiding over the services, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Internment will take place at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Mausoleum. Katherine is survived by sons Craig Rabalais and wife Susie Rabalais of Cottonport, Scott Rabalais and wife Suzette Rabalais of Denham Springs, and daughter Lisha Rabalais and husband Brian Kendrick of Baton Rouge. She has three granddaughters, Alexandra, Alexis and Aja Rabalais and two grandsons, Cody and Brody Rabalais. She was the oldest of ten siblings, and was preceded in death by her mother and father, Henry and Aline Rabalais and a sister Rachel Dupont. She is survived by; Sonia Travasos, Marella Thibodeaux, Eric Rabalais, David Rabalais, Michael Rabalais, Chris Rabalais, Darleen Ducote, and Eulalie Guillory. Services and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
