slideshow A memorial service for Kelly Anderson will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Escude Funeral Home Chapel in Simmesport. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Kelly Paul Anderson, born August 2, 1959, died at his Yellow Bayou residence on Sunday, October 17, 2010.

Kelly is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Douglas Jack and Violet Neatsie Barr Anderson.

He is survived by his daughter, Whitney and his son in law, Cole DeLaSalle of Monroe his former wife, Wendy Lemoine Anderson of Moreauville two brothers, Douglas Rene Anderson and Donald Adele Anderson, both of Simmesport numerous family members and friends and his faithful feline friend, Elvis.

Kelly retired from the Louisiana State Department of Corrections as a Colonel and had worked with the U.S. Federal Marshall Service. He was a member of Simmesport United Methodist Church and Atchafalaya Masonic Lodge no. 163.

Hobbies included metal detecting, hunting, fishing and raising wild hogs. Kelly was instrumental in the founding and development of the Yellow Bayou Park on LA Hwy. 1.
