Ken Martin

Funeral services for Ken Martin will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Bayou des Glaises Baptist Church in Big Bend, LA with Pastor Eugene Carlock officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at 5:00 PM continuing until the funeral on Monday morning.
Ken Martin, age 59, was born in Big Bend, LA to Edgar Martin and Annie Donaghey Martin on June 16, 1952.
Ken was a commercial fisherman and worked in construction. He was an avid outdoor sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He lived the country boys dream.
He was preceded in death by his father Edgar Martin, and two brothers Larry Martin and Ben Martin.
Survivors include his mother Mrs. Annie D. Martin of Alexandria, brother Ricky Martin and wife Debra of Big Bend, and two sisters Beverly Desselle and husband Bruce of Slidell, and Betty Strohschein and husband Clayton of Alexandria. Mr. Martin is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Martin Jr., Trampas Martin, Larry Martin Jr., William McGowan Sr., William McGowan Jr., and Robert McGowan. Honorary pallbearer will be Dannie Martin.
