Kirby Hollis

Funeral services for Kirby Hollis of Mansura will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 beginning at 11am at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Mansura with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2014 beginning at 8am until 11am at the Escud Funeral Home in Mansura. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escud Funeral Home.
Kirby Hollis, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his home in Mansura. He loved to dance socialize and he worked as a mechanic for 25 years farmer for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Talton Ida St. Romain Hollis brothers: Clarence Hollis, Raymond Muton Hollis, Paul Winton Hollis late Jennifer sisters: Ethel Jimmy Hollis Johnson, Sedonia Roland Hollis Perry, and Jennifer Virginia Hollis.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Dorothy St. Romain Hollis of Mansura daughters, Ella Mae Hollis Louis of Mansura and Dorothy Hollis Limbrick of Houston sisters: Emma Rose Dupas of Mansura, Mary Rose George Hollis Guillory of DeQuincy, and Ella Mae Frank Hollis Augustine of Marksville. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Mary Ann Daphine, one greatgrandchild, Zachary Heath, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
