Lamel Demouy

Funeral Mass for Lamel Christopher Demouy will begin at 11am on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at the St. Paul Catholic Church of Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating.  Burial will be held at the St. Paul Cemetery.

Lamel Demouy, age 67, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Cynthia Richard Demouy of Deville; daughters: Patrice St. Romain of Cottonport, Trivia Demouy of Shreveport, Kristin Demouy of New Mexico, and Kathryn Demouy of New Mexico; step-daughter, Stacey Arnold (Terrance) of Zachary; step-sons, Donald Ross, Jr. (Lindsay) of Alexandria and Jeffery Ross (Nicole) of Alexandria; four grandsons: Christian St. Roman, Jonah St. Romain, Ashton Watkins, and Arthur Bell; four granddaughters: Akelia Watkins, Aaliyah Watkins, Astaria Watkins, and Alayah Bell; Four great-grandchildren: Khloe Green, Zoey Green, Eden Jackson, and Edan St. Romain; step-grandchildren: Cameron Ross, Kennedy Ross, Riley Ross, Za’leah Ross, Nikya Ross, Darius Ross, Jay’na Vance, Roy Vance, and Ayden Arnold; sisters, Monica Newton (Arthur) of Alexandria and Jessica Ravare (Russell) of Marksville; brothers, Bruce Demouy of Houston, Texas, Quintin Demouy of Hessmer, Dale Demouy (Christine) of Mansura, and Rickie Demouy of Marksville; mother-in-law, Alice Richard of Lena; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ford (Henry) of DeRidder, and five brothers-in law: William Richard (Jeanette) of Pineville, Daniel Richard (Cassandra) of Boyce, Chester Richard of Lena, John Richard (Nora) Dallas, and Marvin Richard (Audrey) of Lena. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Oliver Demouy and his father, Marshall Demouy.

Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 10:45am, rosary at 10:00am, on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 at the Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.
