Funeral services for Lane Plauche, Sr. of Simmesport will take place at the Christ the King Catholic Church of Simmesport on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport that Wednesday morning from 7:00am to 11:00am. Burial will commence at the Christ the King Catholic Cemetery. Service and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Lane Plauche, Sr., age 72, passed away on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at the Bayou Chateau Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Rachal Plauche; parents, Dr. Joseph Winnfield Plauche & Juanita Fryoux Plauche; brothers, Rhett Plauche and Winn Plauche. He is survived by his children, Eve Whitmore of Marksville and Lane Plauche, Jr. (Julie) of Lafayette; grandchildren, Christian, Ashley, Alli, & Jenni; great-grandchild, Nixon; sisters, Nina Brinkley, Helen Lacombe, Liz Lacombe, Mary Moreau, & Valerie Howell.
