Larry Ducote

Funeral services for Larry Joseph Ducote of Mansura will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 beginning at 11am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 beginning at 5pm and will continue all night until time of service Friday. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.
Larry Joseph Ducote, age 61, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Ducote; father-in-law, Belton Deshotel; and grandparents, Leon & Marie Dickett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Kelly Ducote of Mansura; daughters, Kayla Ducote St. Romain of Mansura; Skyler Ducote Williams (Jordan) of Savannah, GA; son, Christopher Ducote (Kerra) of Marksville; sisters, Bonnie Smith (Emeric) of French Settlement and Ramona Dyer (Hollis) of Burlington, TX; brother, Michael Ducote (Sherrie) of Hessmer; half-sisters, Wendy Lemoine & Rebecca Ducote; and half-brother, Robert Ducote. He will also be missed by his five grandchildren: Rylee Williams, Ally Ducote, Maddox St. Romain, Leyah Williams, and Jordan "JJ" Williams.
Larry was wonderful man who enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Larry was a hardworking man and was a jack of all trades, but whenever he got the chance, he went out hunting, especially squirrels. He appreciated being outdoors, but also he enjoyed watching old western movies. We are saddened to see him go and will miss him dearly, we take comfort in knowing he is with the Lord looking down on us.
