Ledell Hampton

Funeral services for Ledell ldquoLaddierdquo Hampton of Moreauville will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 beginning at 12pm at Mt. Pleasant Congregational Church in Moreauville. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 9am until 12pm. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escudeacute Funeral Home. Ledell ldquoLaddierdquo Hampton, age 78, passed away at the Valley View Nursing Home of Mansura on Friday, February 7, 2014. Ledell Hampton was born April 1, 1935 to the late John Hampton, Sr. and Virginia Prier Hampton. He was the fifth of seven children. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. Howard Thornton in 1940. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. amp Virginia Prier Hampton of Moreauville, LA brothers: Iby Hampton, Sr. of Marrero, LA, Johnny Hampton, Jr. of San Antonio, TX, Sam Hampton of New Orleans, LA, Landry Hampton, Sr. of Marino Valley, CA sister, Cinderella Hampton Blackman of Los Angeles, CA. He leaves to mourn, one sister, Marine H. Dupas of Moreauville, LA, and one aunt, Belle Davis of Wakefield, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
